Akhirnya Real Madrid resmikan transfer Mateo Kovacic setelah sang pemain yang bersangkutan itu memang telah dilepas oleh Inter Milan pada bursa transfer musim panas kali ini agar bisa bergabung bersama Madrid.

Transfer Kovacic tersebut juga sudah dikonfrimasi secara langsung oleh Madrid. Klub asal Spanyol itu menyebutkan jika mereka baru saja berhasil merekrut Kovacic dari tangan Inter Milan dan juga telah mengikatnya dengan kontrak berdurasi cukup panjang.

Menurut rilisan resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh Madrid, sang pemain berkebangsaan Kroasia itu saat ini sudah diikat kontrak dengan durasi selama enam tahun. Hal itu tentu secara otomatis membuat Kovacic bisa bertahan di Santiago Bernabeu hingga tahun 2021 mendatang.

“Real Madrid dan Inter Milan telah menyepakati transfer Mateo Kovacic, dia diikat kontrak berdurasi enam tahun.” Bunyi pernyataan resmi Real Madrid.

Kovacic sendiri kabarnya nanti akan menggunakan nomor punggung 16 dalam jersey Los Blancos. Selain itu, dirinya juga akan mendapatkan gaji sebesar 3 juta Euro per tahunnya dan akan mendapat beberapa bonus dengan ketentuan tersendiri.

Meski tidak ada kabar resmi mengenai nominal transfer, namun sejumlah media lokal setempat banyak yang mengabarkan jika transfer Mateo Kovacic dari Inter Milan menuju Real Madrid tersebut telah memakan dana sekitar 35 juta Euro.
